I have used Code Charge Studio for quite some time and really doubted I would find a better program for developing database applications for the browser. However, after spending a good bit of time lately with Iron Speed Designer from Ironspeed.com I have designated Iron Speed Designer as the new Category Pick.
Now, I should say right here that if you have particular requirements for the language of your pages ( ASP.NET/C#, ASP/VBScript, JSP, Java Servlets, ColdFusion 4.0, PHP 4.0 and Perl 5.0.) you may need to use Code Charge Studio because it supports all of those languages. However, if you have no such restriction, I believe Iron Speed Designer is the way to go. It generates code for .NET, not PHP, or Perl, etc.
I named Iron Speed Designer Category Pick for the ease of creating applications, the attractive appearance of the generated pages, the powerful features that you can include easily and more! In reviewing other web application development programs, I used a simple database with just a couple of tables. I did the same thing with Iron Speed Designer and literally had developed a functional, attractive web application in less than 15 minutes - without reading the documentation. Which reminds, me the documentation provided with Iron Speed Designer is one more reason why the program deserved to be the Category Pick. I downloaded and printed a HUGE stack of documentation from Ironspeed.com - this was in .doc format and consisted of 8 Parts. If you have any interest at all in this program, you should really download the documentation first! and then after reading some of it download a trial version. I think you will be just as impressed as I was with both the quality of the documentation and the program.
You can see the simple application I created before I even read any of the documentation. Keep in mind that I have only recently ventured away from standard ASP/VBScript to ASP.NET and yet, I was able to quickly create that simple application.

This simple application may be a good starting point, however, I am convinced that in order to really begin to review this comprehensive and powerful program, a more complicated application with many more tables and fields is required. I will be writing what may be a multiple part review of Iron Speed Designer. By the time I have finished, I think it will be much more apparent why I have chosen this product as the Category Pick and why I believe that it should be your choice of development tool for web applications.
For a long time I have said "Nyet!" or "Not Yet" to .NET. Iron Speed Designer has convinced me that now is the time to begin developing applications that take advantage of the Microsoft .NET Framework.
