One
of the tools most developers need in their toolkit is a screen capture
utility. This type of program is needed in order to get screen
shots for inclusion in program help files and documentation, and for web
site program pages. There are a lot of programs on the market to
make the task of screen capturing quick and easy. All of the
programs I have tried have their good points and bad points. Today
I discovered a new capture program and took an immediate liking to the
program: CaptureWiz Pro from http://www.PixelMetrics.com.
One of the neat features is the resizable Frame which lets you easily and precisely set the area you want to capture. In the screen shots below I am using this Frame to select the capture area for one of my applications. The next screen shot shows the resulting capture.
CaptureWiz Pro also makes it easy to record a movie of your application in use as an .avi file and let's you adjust for image quality versus file size.
